This past year, the EIA Property Committee modified their Policy Statement Regarding Loss Prevention & Risk Management Services. This amendment clarified the process for requesting financial support and increased the maximum amount of a grant to an individual member from $15,000 to $25,000.

One of the eight benefactors of the Matching Grant Program was the West San Gabriel Liability and Property JPA (WSGLPJPA). Nine of their school districts benefited as they used the available monies to pay in part for projects such as installation of security cameras at school site entrances, upgrades to security camera software, new fences added at school fronts, replaced classroom door locks, alarm/fire systems, and more. All in all, the Program paid $22,950 towards these risk control measures. We congratulate the school districts as they continually focus on making their school sites a safe environment for their children, families and employees with these upgrades to their risk control programs.

If you are a member of the Property Program, the Committee considers applications for Matching Grant Funds in the Fall and Spring of 2018/19. Submit your request for matching grant funds to Sarah Bruno, EIA Sr. Risk Control Specialist.
