Job Description
The Chief Information Officer is responsible for developing an integrated technology strategy that includes network design and support, third-party applications, and business continuity. This will be accomplished through a thorough understanding of the EIA’s business processes and technology infrastructure, leadership of a high-performing team of specialists, and strategic partnerships with application suppliers. The IT department consists of 14 total employees and the CIO has direct supervision 4 – two IT Managers, one Senior IT Specialist, and one IT Specialist.
TOP THREE RESPONSIBILITIES AND VISION FOR SUCCESS
1) Development of a technology vision and strategy to support business objectives.
Success will include the development of a documented plan, which is reviewed and updated semi-annually with the CEO.
2) Leadership, management, and development of the Information Technology (IT) Department.
Success will include high performing teams with the required skills in place to meet department and organizational objectives.
3) Drive business process improvement across the organization.
Success will include the development of a documented plan, which is reviewed and updated semi-annually with the senior leadership team.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a directly related field or equivalent and seven years increasingly responsible work in a directly related field; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job, including but not limited to:

Physical Requirements
Physical requirements of this position typically include: sitting for long periods of time, reaching, grasping, kneeling, talking, hearing, seeing, repetitive motions, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move. Some travel is required.
Special Requirements
Possession of a valid State of California Driver’s License issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, or the ability to obtain one within the first month of employment. Proof of auto insurance with no exclusion for business use is required.
