Strategies for Implementing Successful Return to Work Programs and Managing Transitional Assignments

Overview

While this webcast is open to all EIA members, some of the Eyres Law Group Services are only available to members of the PWC and/or GL1 programs.

Overview

In the August webinar on return to work (RTW) programs, we focused on enacting or updating Early RTW programs for individuals with temporary work restrictions. The emphasis was on how to structure a program or enhance your existing procedures. This webinar will pick up with key strategies for implementation. We will draw distinctions between transitional assignments and modified work assignments in the employee’s regular job. The focus will be on how to enforce an updated program, how to design and manage transitional assignments, how to supervise employees who are working in transitional or modified duty settings, what to do when a transitional assignment is no longer viable, and the all-important topic of documentation. The webinar will also address discipline and performance management for employees in modified duty or transitional assignments. The webinar materials will include templates and forms for designing and structuring appropriate temporary work assignments.
