How to Prepare and Deliver a Presentation - CANCELED

Overview

CANCELED  - In this interactive 2-day session, attendees will have the opportunity to explore their creativity while developing and delivering a professional presentation. Whether you're a seasoned trainer, or a beginner, this course will provide the you with valuable tools that can help build successful presentation skills.

Attendees should come prepared to create a professional presentation under the hands-on direction of our instructors over the course of this 2-day program. Attendees will also be required to dedicate time to a homework assignment, in addition to the class work. Students will also be allowed to view recordings of their presentations to help them critique their delivery and presentation skills.

  • Public Speaking Skills
  • Presentation Development
  • Use of Visual Aids and Graphics
  • Techniques for Research
  • Importance of Practice
  • Developing a Presentation Outline

  • Personal Time Invested in Homework Assignments/Project

To Receive a Certificate of Completion:

  • Participate in all of the Day 1 (May 25, 2017) activities
  • Complete and turn-in the Homework Assignment before the start of Day 2 (June 2, 2017) (homework must be turned in first in order to present on Day 2)
  • Present the homework assignment (10 minute presentation) to instructors and peers on Day 2
  • Score 80% or above on the Final Test

Additional Information:

  • Doors open at 7:30 a.m. and class will start promptly at 8:00 a.m
  • Classroom space is limited to 8 participants and if the class does not have at least 5 attendees registered, it will be cancelled
  • The person that will be attending the class will need to be the person that registers

  • Once registration is full, you can still register, however, you will be placed on a waiting list and notified if an opening becomes available.
  • Due to space limitations we ask that you please restrict attendance to 1 member per organization.
  • There will be a one hour break for lunch around noon. Link to local eateries.
