Overview

While this webcast is open to all EIA members, some of the Eyres Law Group Services are only available to members of the PWC and/or GL1 programs.

This webinar is a follow up to the January14, 2016 presentation, entitled Preventing Workplace Violence: How to Adopt and Enforce Effective Policies to Keep Employees and Visitors Safe, provided an overview of key risks associated with workplace violence. In that program, we focused on the types of workplace violence, levels of employee violence and appropriate response, as well as the legal and practical risks associated with workplace violence. The webinar included guidelines for what your policies should include, how to develop safety procedures and protocols, and appropriate training topics for the entire workforce.

Learning Objectives

As promised, this follow up webinar is will drill down to the details. In addition to a review of real world examples and best practices, this webinar will include:

• Very specific policy language;
• How to craft worksite safety plans and update your Injury & Illness Prevention Programs to address OSHA standards;
• How to design realistic drills to prepare your workforce to respond during and in the aftermath of a “real” incident;
• How to partner with law enforcement in advance, during and after a workplace incident;
• Samples and concrete materials, resources and scenarios you can use for violence prevention training at all levels of management and rank and file
