Developments in 2016 Workers' Comp Case Law: Update and Explanation of Key Judicial Decisions that will Impact Claims Management and Resolution

Overview

While this webcast is open to all EIA members, some of the Eyres Law Group Services are only available to members of the PWC and/or GL1 programs.

This webinar will provide a fast-paced, informative review of the most critical case law from 2016 and anticipated trends for 2017. The webinar will focus predominately on cases in the industrial injury setting, with focus on the following concrete topics:

 

  1. Thorny apportionment issues;
  2. Cumulative Trauma claims – what’s new and what can we expect for 2017;
  3. Return to work and stay at work;
  4. Mental injury and psychiatric claims;
  5. Utilization review;
  6. Independent medical review;
  7. Documenting the facts for the defense of “good faith personnel action;”
  8. Post-termination claims
  9. Litigation of industrial injury claims, including admissibility of medical reports;
  10. Case law on return to work and stay at work issues.
