June Board of Directors Meeting to be held via WebEx
The health and safety of our members, staff and business partners is our highest priority. At the same time, there are certain things, like adoption of the 2020/21 budget and program renewals, that must be addressed by the Board before the start of the coming fiscal year. Therefore, we will still need to hold the June 5th Board meeting, but will do so via WebEx instead of at the Hilton Arden West in Sacramento. Please register for the meeting as soon as possible so we can determine if we will have a quorum. If you have any questions, please contact EIA Meeting and Event Planner, Alicia Smith.

CDC Recommends Wearing Mask in Public
The CDC enhanced its COVID-19 guidelines to include mask wearing when in close proximity of others. Click here for the latest CDC mask guidelines and a YouTube video of the US Surgeon General demonstrating how to make a cloth mask at home. The CDC’s mask wearing recommendation is intended to slow the spread of COVID-19, and should not be confused with personal protective equipment (PPE), which can protect the wearer from virus exposure. A mask helps protect others by reducing the distribution of virus exhaled by the mask wearer. Masks also improve awareness of other CDC guidelines, such as social distancing, hand hygiene, and not touching one’s own face.
New Information Added to COVID-19 Resources Page
Staff has added more resources to our COVID-19 page this week including blogs on Protecting Vacant School Buildings and the FDA's Authorization of non-NIOSH-Approved Respirators, and a link to the CA Surgeon General’s Playbook on Stress Relief during COVID-19. Staff continues to gather information and update this page, so check back regularly.
