Job Description:

The Workers' Compensation and Disability Retirement Risk Analyst reports to the Manager of Workers' Compensation and Disability Retirement division of Risk Management within the County Executive Office. Incumbents develop, implement, monitor, and administer policies, procedures and programs for workers' compensation, disability retirement, and subrogation/loss recovery. Incumbents also coordinate the provision of benefits in insured and self-insured programs; conduct investigations and comprehensive file, departmental and/or contractor audits to monitor for compliance.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field such as business, labor, law, biology, science or insurance AND two (2) years of experience as a workers' compensation or disability retirement claims professional. Additional years of experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis. Must possess a California C Driver License and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Possession of a self-insured workers' compensation claims administration certification, certified Workers' Compensation Claims Professional (WCCP or equivalent) and experience in developing and utilizing information technology solutions and analytical tools for risk management issues are also desired.
