Job Description:

Currently recruiting for one vacancy Insurance & Claims in the Risk Management Division of the County Counsel's Office of Tulare County. This recruitment will also establish an employment list to fill current and future vacancies which may focus on disability management and/or safety. The position of Risk Management Analyst supports the Risk Manager with a wide variety of research, analysis and administrative duties. Assignments may be directed toward specific Risk Management programs such as insurance and claims administration, safety, worker's compensation and disability management programs. : Assist development and administration of risk management programs; conduct research on related issues or problems; prepares Risk Management reports; serves as a resource to regarding claims adjusting, insurance coverage requirements, employee injuries, worker's compensation, disability management, safety and loss prevention plans, and other risk management programs. Assist with the day to day management of certain insurance programs of County and Risk Management; communicate with County contacts regarding insurance related incidents; act as a liaison with claimants, attorneys, investigators and other agencies in the claims process; utilize risk management software to compile information for the administration of claims, disability management and insurance programs

Requirements:

Education/Experience: Requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Occupational Safety, Insurance Public or Business Administration, Human Resources, or closely related field along with the following experience levels. Level I: One (1) year of professional analyst experience with emphasis in the administrative and technical aspects of insurance, disability management or safety. Level II: Requires two years of increasingly responsible professional analyst experience. Equivalency for Education: Possession of a Professional Disability Manager Certification or Certificated Safety Professional certification or other related may be substituted for the educational requirement if applicable. A high level of responsible professional analyst experience with emphasis in the administrative and technical aspects of insurance, disability management or safety may substitute for the education requirement.
