SANDPIPA Merges with EIA
On June 2nd, the EIA Board of Directors finalized their side of the SANDPIPA merger, and as of July 1st the merger will be complete. This transaction is historic in the world of JPAs because a merger like this has not happened before. It allowed SANDPIPA to dissolve as an agency, take care of its outstanding liabilities, and return all excess funds to its 12 member cities. Read more about this merger on the EIA News page.
2017/18 Coverage Documents
The 2017/18 coverage documents for the Primary and Excess Workers’ Compensation programs, Primary General Liability, General Liability 1 and General Liability 2 programs have been posted to My Entity Documents on the EIA website. We are still in the process of posting the documents for the other remaining programs and expect to have those posted by the end of the week. Please be sure to download a copy for your records.
Certificates of coverage are also in the process of being posted and we expect those to be available by the end of the week as well. If you need a particular certificate immediately and don’t see it posted, please contact Ruby Johnson or James McCoy at Alliant.
Although the coverage documents are posted, we are still in the process of updating the 2017/18 program information that is displayed in the Members Area. All 2017/18 program information should be updated by August 1st. Please contact EIA Staff for assistance with your Members Area and/or the website.
Renewal Invoices Emailed
By end of business today, June 28th, all invoices for the July 2017 renewals, as well as the March Property renewal, will have been emailed. Please call 916-850-7300 or email Donna McClanahan if you are missing an invoice or have a question. Prompt payments are appreciated.
EIA Offices Closed for Independence Day
The EIA offices will be closed Monday July 3rd through Tuesday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day. Regular business hours will resume Wednesday, July 5th. Happy Fourth of July!
