Member Annual Reports Have Been Published
The EIA has just made available the 2017 Member Annual Reports. These can be found on your dashboard under Reports.
The EIA will be hosting a webinar on Thursday, January 26th from 2:00pm – 3:00pm on Member Annual Reports. This webinar will walk you through the Member Annual Report that was created specifically for your entity. This Report is not a sweeping generalization on the state of the EIA, but speaks directly to what benefits YOUR entity has achieved. By attending the webinar, you will learn how to use the Member Annual Report to share with your co-workers, boards or any other interested parties the benefits your entity enjoys as a result of participating in the EIA. Register now.
Attend an EIA Committee Meeting . . . It’s on Us!
The 279 Committee and Board members are what drive the EIA. We recently solicited the membership for open Committee positions and received applications from 22 more members than we could place – a great indicator of a healthy member driven organization!
To continue to foster interest from the membership, EIA will pay travel expenses for any member to attend any of our 16 Committee’s meetings. This is a great way to see if you would like to be involved in a Committee in the future. Visit the EIA website to learn more about these committees, or contact Kathleen Barnes if you would like to attend one of our meetings.
New AlliantConnect Platform for Property Program Members
The Property Program has successfully migrated all members over from Oasys-Net to the new platform AlliantConnect. Throughout the last few months, a list of users was provided to all Property Program members for confirmation. Access has been updated and granted per member response. Any members that did not respond were automatically migrated over based on our Oasys-Net user access list. Alliant will work with the Property Program members to provide training and assistance as needed.
Please contact Sara Carlisle with requests for training or general questions regarding the use of AlliantConnect.

AED Regulatory Updates and Your Agency
Loss Prevention staff has received many inquiries regarding recent changes to the regulations governing installation of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). Senate Bill 287, requires AED installation in specified structures built on or after 1/1/2017. However, the bill specifically excludes structures “owned or operated by any local government entity.” Even in the absence of a regulatory mandate, if your organization is considering a public access AED program, EIA Loss Prevention can provide assistance in navigating the numerous program requirements and best practices. For more information feel free to contact Travis Clemmer via email or by calling (916) 850-7300.
