EIA Receives Certificate of Achievement for CAFR
The EIA has been awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the year ending June 30, 2016.
The CAFR has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users to read the CAFR. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
New Directions in Crisis Management & Media Response
The EIA has partnered with Mainstream Unlimited to present a regional training course, designed to provide those with potential media relations responsibilities the tools necessary for interacting with the media during a crisis. A continuation of the popular trainings provided by Robert May, JD and Dr. Steve Albrecht, PHR, CPP, BCC as part of the Crisis Incident Management Services. There are two regional training sessions available to EIA members and their employees. Register for the Fresno Seminar on June 27th, or the Escondido Seminar on September 27th.
