The Great ShakeOut
Evaluate your earthquake preparedness on October 18 at 10:18 AM by participating in the tenth anniversary of The Great ShakeOut. With over eight million registered participants, The Great ShakeOut is the largest earthquake preparedness drill in the United States.

There are four levels of drills that schools can perform ranging from a simple drop, cover, and hold drill to an advanced emergency management simulation drill. Start with this self-survey, and then use these resources to plan and participate in this year’s Great ShakeOut.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month
This year why not try something new to prevent bullying? The EIA has partnered with Community Matters to offer the Safe School Ambassadors program to our education members. This program empowers natural student leaders from diverse groups on campus, and equips them with nonviolent communication and intervention skills to prevent and stop all forms of bullying. It is an inside-out approach to prevention.

On behalf of our education members, the EIA has negotiated special pricing with Community Matters. For more information, please contact us.
Annual Education Forum: Save-the-Date!
Join us this January at our annual Education Forum. This year, we are planning several exciting and educational topics. While the Education Forum is informative, it is also a great opportunity to network and share ideas with fellow EIA members. Additional details and registration will be available soon. Space is limited, so mark your calendars now!
