EIA's Annual Public Entity Meeting
All education members are encouraged to attend this meeting designed to:

• Update members on the status of all EIA programs, and
• Discuss new services including: new TargetSolutions courses, SRO resources, physical abilities testing, and drug & alcohol consortium changes

The EIA will reimburse expenses for up to three attendees per public entity member. For your convenience, the meeting will take place in both Northern California at the EIA headquarters in Folsom, November 6th, and in Southern California in Ontario, November 7th.

National Cybersecurity Awareness Month
On average, spam and virus filters have a 10% failure rate. This means you also need a strong human firewall as your last line of defense against cyber-attacks. Participate in Cybersecurity Awareness Month by assigning one of thirteen TargetSolutions cyber security courses to your employees!
Restroom Vaping (& Bullying) Detectors
In light of health concerns surrounding electronic cigarettes, many schools are installing electronic cigarette detectors in restrooms. Detectors are similar to carbon monoxide sensors and are capable of providing real-time alerts to school administrators.
 
Additionally, select units can also detect loud noises, such as bullying, without using a microphone. Could this be a solution to deter vaping and bullying at district sites? Ask your security or fire alarm service provider for details.
