Education Members' Training Session and Forum Recap
This year’s training session and forum was another success! If you were unable to attend, or did attend but would like to share the training within your district, Dr. Steve Albrecht recorded three on-demand webcasts related to school violence prevention and threat assessment teams. They are available on our webcast platform EIAtv. If you are new to EIAtv, follow these instructions.

As a follow up to the training session, we have partnered with Dr. Steve Albrecht to assist with the development and training of threat assessment teams at your district. Dr. Albrecht’s services are available at discounted rates for EIA members. Read more about this new service.

NEW! Safety Talk of the Month: Winter Driving Safety
Safety Talks are short safety trainings, usually led by supervisors, which help keep safety at the forefront of everyone’s mind. Sometimes called "Tailgates," Safety Talks are integral for maintaining a culture of safety in your workplace. Although less effective than face-to-face delivery, they can also be emailed or inserted into paycheck envelopes.

February’s suggested Safety Talk is on winter driving safety. Over 100 additional topics are available in our Safety Talks compendium. Please contact the Risk Control Department for password information to access the complete resource.
Safety Planning During Extracurricular Activities
On Jan. 24, Campus Safety Magazine hosted an educational webcast focusing on safety planning during extracurricular activities. The discussion included differences and similarities between normal school safety plans and extracurricular safety plans. It also discussed common emergencies and how to develop an extracurricular safety plan to mitigate unwanted outcomes.

The webcast is available at no charge and can be viewed on their website.
