Overview and Enforcement of all Job Protected Leaves of Absence

Overview

While this webcast is open to all EIA members, some of the Eyres Law Group Services are only available to members of the PWC and/or GLl programs.

California public agencies must manage a maze of legislatively mandated leaves of absence, many of which overlap or have conflicting eligibility requirements. When employees have more than one applicable leave (such as industrial accident, FMLA/CFRA, PDL, military leave and more), leave administrators must determine whether they run concurrently or consecutively. On top of that, there are increased complexities in coordinating paid leave under industry codes and collective bargaining agreements. And, more than a dozen other short term leaves are also job-protected and benefit-protected – with substantial penalties against employers that ignore the requirements for eligible workers or retaliate after the employee returns to work.

Join us for this informative webinar which will cover topics such as:

  • FMLA leaves for military caregiver, military exigency and more
