- This will be a one hour program that is suitable for County Healthcare Administrators, Risk Managers, Clinicians, County Counsel, and Healthcare Facility Support Staff.
- We will cover new state and federal laws that directly or indirectly impact County healthcare facilities, their providers and staff, and their patients.
- Topics include changes to licensing requirements, the child abuse/neglect mandated reporters list, bathroom signage requirements, training requirements, employment issues, ICE, gender issues, drug prescribing (CURES 2.0) and the opioid crisis, mental health holds, and new 42 CFR Part 2 regulations.
- If time permits we will also talk about the increase in complaints from patients echoing the "me too" movement, the new direction regarding "conscience objections" for healthcare workers, and ethical issues around employee social media posts commenting on current events.
