Overview

How to Identify & Comply with Public Sector Integrity Laws and Maintain Public Trust: A Potpourri of Proactive Policies for Public Employment, including Nepotism, Codes of Ethics, Conflicts of Interest, Financial Gain, Merit-Based Decision Making, Transparency, Whistleblowing and More

Speaker:  Patricia Eyres, Managing Partner Eyres Law

This webinar will explore the range of ethics and public integrity laws and regulations that govern California government entities in public employment, services, and programs. The presenter will begin with a review the range of laws that impact the workplace and public service, as well as those governing elected officials. We will then provide a comprehensive, yet practical approach to addressing policy particulars, including vetting existing practices, crafting defensible procedures, and communicating important principles to all stakeholders. Finally, because policies are only as sound (and defensible) as your ability to effectively ensure accountability, we will focus on strategies for executive, risk, and HR teams to implement uniform approaches to enforcement.
