Insurance Requirements in Contracts Manual – 2020 Version Released by Alliant

Alliant’s Public Entity Group maintains an Insurance Requirements in Contracts (IRIC) Manual as a service to the public sector and to EIA members. The manual is reviewed annually for any updates or changes to suggested insurance requirements. The newly released Version 2020.1 includes the following modifications:

  • Three new FAQ’s to address:
    • How can we ensure coverage for completed operations?

    • How to dispel the myth of “following form” excess insurance coverage?
  • Revised Chapter two to include:
    • The Myth of “Following Form” Excess Insurance Policies

  • Revised Chapter seven to include:
    • Contracts Involving Cash/Receipts Handling – Fidelity Bonds & Crime Insurance
  • New Chapter on Schools and Other Youth-Serving Organizations to include:
    • Use of Facilities
    • Third-Party Instructors
    • Special Events
    • Student Placement Agreements
    • Sexual Abuse and Molestation (SAM) Liability
    • Transportation Risks
  • Revised Chapter nine to include:
    • The New 12 19 ISO Endorsements
