Confined Space Entry Training for Supervisors

Overview

Have you often wondered, "What exactly is considered a confined space?" and "How do I ensure my employees are trained before entering these areas?"

We invite you to attend this presentation where the instructor will discuss the following topics, as it pertains to the necessary information supervisors have to know in order to keep employees safe:

 

  • Know how to use Title 8, CCR, GISO 5156, 5157, and 5158, as references
  • Know what is a confined space
  • know how to identify confined spaces
  • Know how to classify confined spaces
  • Know how to assess the hazards
  • Know how to abate and control hazards
  • Know how to implement a permit entry system
  • Know the atmospheric testing requirements
  • Know the duties of the entrant, attendant, rescuer, and entry supervisor
  • Know design characteristics of gas detectors
  • Know the training requirements
  • Know the rescue and safety equipment requirements
  • Know the requirement for a written program

Please note: there is a testing component to the webinar. After the presentation, participants will take a short quiz. In order to receive a certificate of completion, one must receive a score of 16/20 or better (80% or above).
