Programs
Since 1979, the EIA has dramatically reduced insurance costs for the members by leveraging the combined purchasing power and financial size of the group.
Through the efforts of the members, the EIA staff, and Alliant Insurance Services, the EIA has created eight major coverage programs related to Workers' Compensation, General Liability, Medical Malpractice, Property and Employee Medical plans.
In addition to the major coverage programs, the EIA provides group purchase insurance programs for various other exposures such as aviation, bond/crime, pollution, special events, vendor/contractor liability, and watercraft.
As a result of the programs' volume, the members' foresight and flexibility and the EIA's positive business relationships with key insurance markets, the EIA is able to offer programs that are competitive, flexible to market conditions, stable and responsive to our members’ needs.
Annually, the EIA compares the cost of its major programs to the estimated cost members would pay if they were purchasing similar coverage on their own. The chart below shows the premium paid over the last five years by the EIA members and the premium that is estimated would have been paid by our members individually.
