Members

The combined volume of the EIA’s county and public entity membership has resulted in reduced costs and greater stability by spreading risk over a larger group.

The EIA has two categories of membership: counties and public entities. The EIA’s 54 member counties represent a 93% market share of the 58 counties in the state. Although the public entity membership currently consists of 194 organizations, including cities, school districts, special districts, and other JPAs, over 1,500 public entities access the coverage and services of the EIA either directly or through a member JPA.

Throughout the tremendous growth of the EIA’s membership over the past several years and the recent “restructure” of the organization, the EIA has continued to uphold the principles upon which it was established and that have made it so successful – mainly membership involvement and loyalty.

The membership growth graph above indicates a steady and continuing growth in membership over the years. Membership is shown in terms of “member units” where each member in each of the programs is counted as one unit.
